Job Description for Technical Assistant:
The Technical Assistant will support scientific and technical activities related to soil survey, land evaluation, laboratory analysis, and land use planning. Responsibilities may include collecting and processing soil samples, maintaining lab equipment, assisting field surveys, managing data records, and providing technical help to scientists and officers.
This role is ideal for candidates with a background in agricultural sciences, soil science, or related disciplines. Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills are beneficial.
Job Description for Senior Technical Officer:
The Senior Technical Officer will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and supervising scientific research and technical projects related to soil health, land use, and resource management. The officer will lead field surveys, prepare technical reports, analyse soil and environmental data, and assist in policy formulation for sustainable land use.
The position requires in-depth subject knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to guide junior staff. A postgraduate degree in a relevant field and prior experience in scientific research or land planning is usually expected.
