Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer II, you will:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy moderately complex software solutions that align with industry best practices and Cargill’s engineering standards.
- Apply modern software engineering principles and security protocols to build robust, scalable digital products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies, actively participating in sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Review peer code and contribute to the team’s technical discussions to uphold coding standards and continuous improvement.
- Implement continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for effective deployment and versioning.
- Participate in and contribute to Cargill’s engineering community by sharing modern technical practices and insights.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain applications independently, escalating complex issues when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in software development.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with secure coding practices and scalable application development.
- Familiarity with agile development environments and DevOps tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is must.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
