Job Role & Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer II, you will:

  1. Design, develop, test, and deploy moderately complex software solutions that align with industry best practices and Cargill’s engineering standards.
  2. Apply modern software engineering principles and security protocols to build robust, scalable digital products.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies, actively participating in sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  4. Review peer code and contribute to the team’s technical discussions to uphold coding standards and continuous improvement.
  5. Implement continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for effective deployment and versioning.
  6. Participate in and contribute to Cargill’s engineering community by sharing modern technical practices and insights.
  7. Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain applications independently, escalating complex issues when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
  2. 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in software development.
  3. Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks.
  4. Hands-on experience with secure coding practices and scalable application development.
  5. Familiarity with agile development environments and DevOps tools.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  2. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is must.
  4. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
