As an Infoscion in the Testing team at Infosys, candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions to our clients.
Candidate will be a key contributor throughout the testing lifecycle-from planning and strategy formulation to execution and defect prevention-while collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Test Planning & Estimation:
- Develop comprehensive test plans based on project requirements and client expectations.
- Estimate testing efforts, resources, and timelines for various phases of the project.
- Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones of the testing process.
- Prepare and design test cases and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Execute test cases systematically and log test results to ensure compliance with expected outcomes.
- Perform regression, functional, integration, and system testing as required.
- Identify, log, and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Interface with development teams and client representatives to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Participate in defect triage meetings and provide inputs on severity and impact.
- Ensure strict adherence to organizational standards, best practises and compliance protocols
- Monitor project performance metrics and support the implementation of quality initiatives.
- conduct peer reviews of test plans, test cases, and script to ensure completeness and accuracy.
5. Collaboration & Stakeholders Communication
- Engage actively with clients to understand business needs and align testing strategies accordingly.
- Provide regular updates and reports on testing progress, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions and help maintain internal documentation repositories.
- Anchor the development of Test Strategies tailored to specific project needs.
- Tract and monitor testing schedules and ensure alignment with overall project plans
- Provide leadership in managing project deliverables and timelines related to the testing function.
- Design and implement project quality plans that focus on continuous improvement and defect minimization.
- Lead defect prevention initiatives and root cause analysis exercises.
- Validate and refine testing practices to ensure long-term efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strong knowledge of STLC, SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, HP, ALM TestRail, or similar.
- Understanding of automation tools like Selenium, UFT, or similar.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of global team.
