Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join our dynamic team at Aliens Group. The role involves working closely with the Head of Fundraising to manage the end-to-end fundraising lifecycle, with a focus on real estate investments.

What Candidates do:

• Collaborate with the Fundraising Head to oversee and execute all phases of the fundraising process—from initial sourcing to final deal closure.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of the real estate sector, tracking key trends, financial indicators, competitor performance, and regulatory developments.
• Build and enhance detailed financial and business models to determine capital needs and assist in structuring a range of financial transactions.
• Prepare high-quality investor materials, such as pitch decks and information memorandums, customized to different investor profiles.
• Contribute to deal sourcing by identifying and analysing new investment opportunities.
• Develop and maintain advanced financial models, including DCF, Comparable Company Analysis, Precedent Transaction Analysis, M&A, and LBO models to evaluate potential deals and financing scenarios.
• Respond to investor inquiries with timely and insightful financial information and analysis.
• Support all phases of commercial, financial, and legal due diligence.
• Ensure smooth transaction execution by coordinating with both internal teams and external partners.
• Monitor compliance and regulatory factors that influence transactions, including:

1. Tax implications of deal structures (e.g., slump sales, SPVs, dividend distribution taxes)
2. Financial instruments like NCDs, CCDs, and intercompany borrowings
3. Applicable direct and indirect taxes

What We're Looking For:

1. Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, with sound knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
2. Proficiency in financial modelling and valuation methods such as DCF, Comps, Precedent Transactions, M&A, and LBO.
3. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with an aptitude for simplifying complex financial concepts.
4. Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects effectively, both independently and in a team setting.
6. Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
7. Prior exposure to the real estate sector is advantageous.
