Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join our dynamic team at Aliens Group. The role involves working closely with the Head of Fundraising to manage the end-to-end fundraising lifecycle, with a focus on real estate investments.
What Candidates do:
- Collaborate with the Fundraising Head to oversee and execute all phases of the fundraising process—from initial sourcing to final deal closure.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of the real estate sector, tracking key trends, financial indicators, competitor performance, and regulatory developments.
- Build and enhance detailed financial and business models to determine capital needs and assist in structuring a range of financial transactions.
- Prepare high-quality investor materials, such as pitch decks and information memorandums, customized to different investor profiles.
- Contribute to deal sourcing by identifying and analysing new investment opportunities.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models, including DCF, Comparable Company Analysis, Precedent Transaction Analysis, M&A, and LBO models to evaluate potential deals and financing scenarios.
- Respond to investor inquiries with timely and insightful financial information and analysis.
- Support all phases of commercial, financial, and legal due diligence.
- Ensure smooth transaction execution by coordinating with both internal teams and external partners.
- Monitor compliance and regulatory factors that influence transactions, including:
- Tax implications of deal structures (e.g., slump sales, SPVs, dividend distribution taxes)
- Financial instruments like NCDs, CCDs, and intercompany borrowings
- Applicable direct and indirect taxes
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, with sound knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and valuation methods such as DCF, Comps, Precedent Transactions, M&A, and LBO.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with an aptitude for simplifying complex financial concepts.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively, both independently and in a team setting.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Prior exposure to the real estate sector is advantageous.
